Homer Keith Buswell, age 82, of Linneus, MO; passed away Tuesday morning, October 7, 2025, at his home surrounded by his family.
Homer Keith was born on June 15, 1943, to the late Homer Edward and Ester Mildred (Cooper) Buswell on a farm outside of Linneus, MO. He grew up on a farm and he learned the value of hard work and self-reliance. Keith graduated in 1961 from the Linn County Liberty High School in Browning, MO. He was united in marriage to Anita Charlene Molloy on December 14, 1968, at Bear Branch Church, Pudin, MO.
Keith was a member of the Bear Branch Church, served on the Linn County 4-H fair board, and was a member of the Pork Producers and the Linn County Cattlemen’s Association. He enjoyed working on his farm, raising beef cattle and pigs, putting up hay and doing row crops. He liked going to cattle and pig shows, and going to antique tractor pulls. Keith was full of determination and enjoyed his family and grand kids, his family meant everything to him.
Keith is survived by his wife Anita of the home, three sons, Galen (Vickie) Buswell, Justin Buswell, and Jeffery (Connie) Buswell; six grandchildren, Karla Buswell, Krystal Buswell, Stacy Buswell, Trent Buswell, Katie (Jarid) Buswell, and Cody Buswell: thirteen great grandchildren; one brother-in-law, Allen (Carla) Molloy; and several other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Ester Buswell; one son, Rodney Lee Buswell; one sister, Barbara Rinehart; two sister and brothers-in-laws, Norma and Donald Shoemaker and Francis Darrel Baldings; his father and mother-in-law, Carl and Lucille Molloy.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 am. Saturday, October 11, 2025, at the Bear Branch Church, Purdin. MO; with Pastor Tom Parks and Pastor Bo Brown. Burial will be in the Bear Branch Cemetery, Purdin, MO. Visitation will be held at the Park Baptist Fellowship Hall in Brookfield, MO; Friday, October 10, 2025, from 5:00 pm. until 7:00 pm. with family receiving friends at this time. Arrangements are entrusted to the care and direction of Rhodes Funeral Home, Brookfield, MO.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donation can be made to Bear Branch Church and can be left at or mailed to Rhodes Funeral Home, 216 Linn Street, Brookfield, MO. 64628.
