Syrian President Sharaa makes first visit by a Syrian President to the White House. Former jihadist leader and current Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa met with President Trump at the White House on Monday. President Sharaa is the first Syrian leader to ever visit the White House since Syria gained its independence from France in 1946. President Trump posted several photos from the meeting on his TRUTH page. In May President Trump lifted sanctions on Syria during the two leaders first meet up. Syrian leader Ahmed al-Sharaa desperately sought a meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump while he was traveling in May in the Middle East to ease sanctions and improve relations.
