Melissa Lee (Hooser) Clark, 64, Grain Valley, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Blue Springs, Missouri.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Saturday, April 4, 2026, at First Baptist Church, 525 S. Business Hwy 13, Lexington, Missouri, 64067. A Celebration of Life will follow immediately. Inurnment will take place at the Machpelah Cemetery. Melissa was born on December 11, 1961, in Kansas City, Kansas to Victor and Rebecca (Phillips) Hooser. Melissa grew up mainly in Wellington, Missouri and graduated high school from there. After that she and her family moved to Lexington. She attended the University of Missouri and then Pierce Interior Design School. Melisssa married Mark Wayne Clark on May 15, 1982. Melissa spent the majority of her life as owner and operator of the Victorian Peddler Tea Room Antique and Gift Shop located in Lexington, Missouri. Melissa enjoyed being with her family, babysitting her grandchildren and reading mainly drama and suspense. Melissa will be greatly missed.
Melissa is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Ashley Price and her husband Timothy; her sister, Penelope Jane Hooser; two grandchildren, Noah Stephen Price and Isabella Roselie Price; nephew, Ethan Bradley Hooser; great nephews, nieces, and her partner Mark Wayne Clark; also survived by Lynthia Andrews Bowman the godmother of the daughter, grandchildren, nephews, great nephews, and nieces.
Melissa was preceded in death by her parents.
