Natalie Susan (Kempf) Hoffelmeyer, 39, of Marshall, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 8, 2026, at the University of Kansas Medical Center, surrounded by immense love after a long and courageous battle with breast cancer.

Natalie was born on October 23, 1986, in Sedalia, Missouri, to Gregory and Jayne Robertson Kempf of Marshall. She graduated from Marshall High School before earning her degree in Business from Columbia College in 2008.

On New Year’s Eve, 2011, she married her high school sweetheart and the love of her life, Josh Hoffelmeyer. Together, Josh and Natalie built a beautiful life in Marshall, where they raised their family and created a home full of love, laughter, and unwavering devotion. Dedicated members of St. Peter’s Catholic Church, their faith and family were at the center of the life they built together, and Natalie took great pride in watching her children grow and learn within the church and school community they love.

Of all the roles Natalie held in her life, the one she cherished most was being a mother to her two beloved children, Joseph Christopher and Jillian Marie. Her children were the center of her world. She embraced every moment with them – celebrating milestones big and small, creating treasured traditions, filling ordinary days with warmth and silliness, and loving them with her whole heart. She especially treasured time spent at the family cabin, where she delighted in teaching Joe and Jillian to swim and fish, sharing with them the same simple joys and memories she loved as a child herself. The memories she created with them will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Natalie was known professionally for her work in office management roles, where she was organized, dependable, personable, and deeply caring toward the people she served and with whom she worked. She approached both work and life with thoughtfulness and compassion, always willing to help others, and was extraordinarily loyal to the people she loved.

As the middle child between her older sister, Emily, and younger brother, Chase, Natalie naturally sought to bring peace and harmony to those around her. She loved deeply, protected fiercely, and had a quiet way of making people feel safe, welcomed, and cared for. She will be remembered for her strength, her resilience, her generous heart, and the deep love she gave so freely to her family and friends.

Natalie was preceded in death by her father-in-law Chris Hoffelmeyer. She is survived by her husband Josh, son Joseph, and daughter Jillian of the home. Additional survivors include her parents, Gregory and Jayne Kempf of Marshall, sister Emily (Aleksandar) Zdjelar of Raytown, MO, brother Chase (Haley) Kempf of Centerview, MO, mother-in-law Julie Hoffelmeyer of Marshall, brother-in-law Daniel (Allyson) Hoffelmeyer of Erie, CO, and sister-in-law Maggie Hoffelmeyer of Marshall. As well as 6 nieces and nephews, 4 godchildren, aunts, uncles, and many cousins.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 15, 2026, at St. Peter Catholic Church in Marshall with Fr. Francis Doyle officiating. Burial will follow in Ridge Park Cemetery. Prayers of the Rosary will begin at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, May 14, 2026, at St. Peter Catholic Church with visitation following until 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest that memorials be made in memory of Natalie to either St. Peter Home and School or Cancer Perks in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home.
