Robert Michael Levy, 77, of Lexington, Missouri passed away Monday, April 13, 2026, at Lafeyette Regional Health Center in Lexington.
Family will host a Celebration of Life from 4:00 to 7:00 pm, Friday, May 29, 2026 at the Lexington VFW. Memorials are suggested to Boy Scouts Troop 318. He was born on May 9, 1948, in Kansas City, Missouri to Dorothy (Lahman) Levy and Robert M Levy. Robert was a graduate of Lexington High School and went on to dedicate his life to education and leadership. He served as principal of Wentworth Military Academy in Lexington, where he instilled discipline and respect, in the young men he guided. Known to most of “Coach” or “Coach Levy”.
Robert shared his love of football as a coach at Northeast Missouri State and Southeast Missouri State, and many other coaching positions throughout Missouri where he inspired countless athletes to push beyond their limits and strive for excellence. He loved weightlifting and coaching, which remained lifelong passion.
Robert also had a deep love for the western way of life. He enjoyed attending local rodeos and took great pride in teaching his sons how to ride horses and rope-skills, they carried forward with great success.
He is survived by his former wife, Carol Schumacher-Levy; his two sons, Jory Levy (Britney) of Logandale, Nevada and Robert M. Levy III of Lexington, Missouri; four grandchildren, Jett Levy, Astyn Levy, Reagan Levy, and Rowan Levy; two sisters, Patricia Scott and her husband, Chuck Scott of Wellington, Missouri and Sandy Lohmann and her husband Curtis of Higginsville, Missouri; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy Lahman Levy and Robert M. Levy.
