A continued Celebration of Life Service honoring Terry will follow the service and be held at The Younger-Finley Barn, 25257 110th Road, Houstonia, MO. (It is just south of Marshall Junction, turn west on 110th Road.) In true Terry fashion, he has suggested that you B.Y.O.B., and Alex says “make it Natty Light.”
Terry was born February 20, 1960, in Saline County, and was the son of the late Roy Fred Pointer and Patricia Joan Weaver Pointer. Terry lived in Saline County his entire life and was a 1978 graduate of Marshall High School. On May 27, 2005, he married Michelle Harriman who survives of the home. He worked at Marshall Habilitation Center for 30 years, retiring as a stationary engineer. Before, during, and after his “regular job”, he did body and restoration work with his brother, Paul, then with the AREA 51 Customz. Terry enjoyed anything outdoors. Hunting, fishing, rides in the country, or just standing in the lake drinking a beer, made him content. What he found the most joy in was spending time with his family and friends.
In addition to his wife, Michelle, he is survived by their children: Stacy Chapman (Andrew) of Wheeling, Alex Pointer (Amanda) of Huntley, IL, Jamie Dillon (Tanner) of Marshall; bonus son, Jason Bailey of Marshall; bonus daughter, Nicole Benner (Jacob Blum) of Pilot Grove; 10 grandchildren: Nora, Emmy, Lena Pointer, Brady, Brylee, Brooke Brayman, Titan Dillon, Nova, Elo, and Izen Blum; two siblings, Kathy Marshall (Oliver) of rural Malta Bend, and Paul Pointer (Joan) of Marshall; as well as several nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Randy Pointer.
