As PBS reported, Bessent is testifying before the House Financial Services Committee to deliver the annual report from the Financial Stability Oversight Council. The Hill notes that this report is tasked with identifying and responding to economic risks. But Rep. Gregory Meeks decided to badger Bessent by demanding a “yes or no” answer to a gotcha question from him, thinking he would be able to pit the Treasury Secretary against President Trump….
