Amazon has yanked its documentary on First Lady Melania Trump from an independent theater in Oregon after the venue’s marquee took jabs at the film. The Lake Theater and Cafe in extremely blue Lake Oswego had been screening “Melania,” a film directed by Brett Ratner and distributed by Amazon MGM Studios, despite trying to turn it into a punchline. The marquee displayed mocking messages like “Does Melania wear Prada? Find out Friday!” a reference to the 2006 film “The Devil Wears Prada,” and “To defeat your enemy. You must know them. Melania starts Friday,” referencing Sun Tzu’s “The Art of War.” The digs apparently didn’t sit well with Amazon executives, who swiftly told the theater to cancel all remaining showings.
