The far-left satire outlet The Onion has reportedly made a licensing deal to seize control of the iconic conservative platform Infowars and immediately turn it into a full-blown parody site featuring comedian Tim Heidecker impersonating Alex Jones. Infowars remains under court-appointed receivership to pay the massive $1.4 billion Sandy Hook defamation judgments against Jones. A Texas judge must still approve the deal, but if greenlit, The Onion’s parent company, Global Tetrahedron, will pay $81,000 per month to license the Infowars.com domain and brand name for an initial six months, with an option to renew, according to a report from the New York Times.
