An awful tragedy struck one of the nation’s leading legacy media outlets this week which has left colleagues in deep mourning. The Washington Post revealed this morning that Dan Eggen, a reporter and editor at the paper for nearly three decades, was discovered dead in his home on Tuesday. He was 60 years old. Murray’s ex-wife, Stephanie Armour confirmed his passing. Police officials do not suspect that foul play was involved, but an autopsy is still needed to determine the cause of death.
