California woke billionaire and gubernatorial candidate Tom Steyer used a recent appearance on Jennifer Welch’s “I’ve Had It” podcast to forcefully back the inclusion of so called transgender athletes in high school sports. In the episode, which was released as part of Welch’s IHIP News feed, Steyer said, “I’m totally in favor of trans athletes in high school,” leaving no ambiguity about his position. Steyer attempted to frame the issue primarily as a matter of protecting vulnerable teenagers, stupidly arguing that excluding so called transgender students from school sports would intensify the emotional and mental health struggles many already endure.
