The fund was created in exchange for Trump dropping more than $10 billion in legal action against the federal government for leaking his tax returns and weaponizing the Justice Department against him. Trump recently told reporters that he wants to reimburse “people that were horribly treated,” including January 6 patriots, pro-lifers, and others who were targeted for their political views under Biden. “They’ve been weaponized, they’ve been, in some cases, imprisoned wrongly.
