DC Comics has once again inserted transgender ideology into its flagship superhero universe with the release of Justice League: Dream Girls, A DC Pride Event #1, a comic that spotlights a transgender version of Wonder Woman. The issue dropped just in time for Pride Month and has already sparked widespread backlash from fans. The plot follows Nia Nal, better known as Dreamer, a transgender superhero originally created for the CW’s Supergirl TV series and portrayed by transgender actor Nicole Maines. In the story, Dreamer and her partner, Galaxy, enter an alternate reality via a dream sequence.
