Beverly Lea Roberts Morton 87, a resident of Hardin, MO, passed away at North Care Hospice House in North Kansas City on October 3, 2025. Beverly was born on October 6, 1937, in Colorado Springs, CO, to Lloyd Wellington and Edna Lea (Orcutt) Roberts. On July 4, 1958, Beverly was united in marriage to Wilburn Carl Morton, he preceded her in death on March 26, 2018. On November 17, 1963, Beverly was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She attended the local congregation in Excelsior Springs until her death.
Beverly is survived by five children, Brenda Lea (Kenny) Wiley of Hardin, Daniel Carl (Susan) Morton of Kansas City, KS, Jennifer April (Craig) Hill, Melissa Renee (John) Teegarden of Richmond, and Melanie Lea (Montey) May of Trenton; siblings, Clayton “Icky” (Kitten) Roberts of Independence and David Frey of Independence; twelve grandchildren, Brooke (Keith) Churulich, Jared (Stephanie) Morton, Jason (Blake) Holt, Myles Glynn, Joey Whinfrey, Kara Crow, Mariah (Daniel) Crow, Joshua Teegarden, Skyler Teegarden, Hunter (Isaiah) Rodriguez, and Logan (Gage) Franklin; five great grandchildren, Ronin Morton, Bodie Morton, Aubree Sue Green, Maverick Rodriguez, and Dillen McIntosh II.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Steven Andrew Morton, siblings, Arley “Ozzy” Roberts, Edna “Miss Lea” Frey, Leanna Canfield and Lloyd “Fella” Roberts.
A celebration of life will be held on October 26, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 101 N New Garden Rd., Excelsior Springs., MO. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Hardin Cemetery.
