Hollie Ray Hawkins, age 83, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at his residence.
Hollie was born the son of Wesley William and Edith Valentine Violet (Prater) Hawkins on August 23, 1942, in Charleston, West Virginia. He was united in marriage to Nelma Wickline on June 9, 1962, in Sissonville, West Virginia. She survives of the home.
Hollie was a supervisor in a plastics factory for many years. He enjoyed fishing, cars and motorcycles. He liked working on them in his spare time. He loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Nelma, of the home; one daughter, Sandra May Faubion of Chillicothe, Missouri; one son, Steven Ray Hawkins and wife, Tina, of Georgia; five grandchildren, Ashley Singer and husband, Jerry, Brandon Hawkins, Amanda Faubion, Hayley Hawkins and Hannah Hawkins; five greatgrandchildren, Tucker, Tanner, Tyler and Tymber Singer and Franky Hawkins; two brothers, Bernard Hawkins (Pauline) of Florida and John Nida of Columbia, Missouri; three sisters, Lorena Justice (Harold) of Texas, Caroline Jones of West Virginia and Sheila Clark (Jamie) of Indiana; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one grandson, Cody Hawkins; two brothers, Buck Nida and Thomas Lee Hawkins.
A cremation was held. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Forest O. Triplett Animal Shelter and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601. Online condolences may be made at www.lindleyfuneralhomes.com.
