Gayla “Arlene” Kitchin, age 70, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on January 29, 2026 at her residence.
Arlene was born the daughter of Junior and Martha (Overton) Owen on August 15, 1955 in Princeton, Missouri. She was a graduate of Princeton High School. Arlene was united in marriage to Charles W. Kitchin on August 30, 1993 in Chillicothe, Missouri. He survives of the home.
Arlene was a member of the House of Prayer in Chillicothe. She enjoyed playing Farmville and Coin Master on her phone. She loved to go to garage sales and thrift stores. Arlene also enjoyed watching Little House on the Prairie. She was a Pepsi drinker, she loved her Pepsi. Arlene loved spending time with her family.
Survivors include, her husband C.W. Kitchin; five sons, Johnny Stark of Chillicothe, Missouri, Randy Stark of Trenton, Missouri, Rudy Kitchin of Trenton, Missouri, Chris Kitchin (Marie) of Chillicothe, Missouri and Clint Kitchin (Melissa) of Chillicothe, Missouri; one daughter, Tammy Stark of Chillicothe, Missouri; ten grandchildren, Brittany Stark, Devanti Anderson, Dominique Midgyett, Sloan Stark, Jevon Glasco, Donovan Kitchin, Lillian Kitchin, Christopher Kitchin, Cheyenne Kitchin and Hazel Kitchin; two great grandchildren, Weston and Eden; one brother, Eddie Owen (Jo) of Chillicothe, Missouri; one sister, Jolene Obanion of Chillicothe, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Bobby Owen, Randall Owen, Kenneth Owen, Madelyn Hendricks, and Carolyn Watkins; and two grandsons, Tyson and Tyrone Stark.
Funeral services will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Friday, February 6, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. A scheduled visitation will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri on Friday, February 6, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Friday, February 6, 2026 from 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Burial will be held at Edgewood Cemetery, Chillicothe, Missouri.
