Kenneth Carl ‘Ken’ Ashley, 81, Carrollton, Missouri passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family on May 17, 2026, after years of enduring tremendous physical hardship with remarkable strength, courage, and faith. Ken was born April 26, 1945 in Arkansas to Granville and Lois (Evans) Ashley.
A visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Friday, May 22, 2026 at La Bella Hall, 5 South Main Street, Carrollton, Missouri 64633. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM.
Ken was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend who was deeply loved by all who knew him. He married the love of his life, Norma Ashley, at a young age, and together they shared 65 wonderful years of marriage and built a family rooted in love, strength, and dedication.
In his younger years, Ken proudly served as a fireman before beginning his longtime career as a pipeline foreman, where he earned the respect and friendship of many through his hard work and integrity. After retirement, Ken found joy in life’s simple blessings, feeding the birds, sitting on his porch, and enjoying the beauty of nature and God’s gifts around him.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents, Grandville and Lois Ashley, and his brother, Truman Ashley.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Norma Ashley; his brother, William “Bill” Ashley; his children Christopher, Michelle, Melissa, Tammy, and Jenny; his grandchildren Ashley, Alex, Amanda, Kandice, Robert, Brandon, Christine, Samantha, Sarah, Kenny, Johnny, and Lorraine; many great grandchildren; and especially Zoe and Hailey, whom he helped raise and loved dearly.
As scripture reminds us: “Come to me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” – Matthew 11:28
Though Ken will be deeply missed, his love, laughter, wisdom, and strength will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
