Delores Jean Struchtemeyer, 92, of Mayview, died on May 22, 2026 at Meyer Care Center.
She was born October 8, 1933 in Braddyville, Iowa, to Carl Preston and Laura May (Holloway) Baker. They moved to Odessa when she was 6 years old.
Delores married Henry Lee Struchtemeyer on April 4, 1953 in Odessa.
She worked as a secretary in the Walt Disney Productions office in Kansas City. She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church in Odessa, helping with the Baby Grace program and teaching Sunday School. She was member of the Mayview Garden Club and Mayview Outlook Club. She donated her time at the Odessa Clothes Closet, and as the bus coordinator for the OATS bus in Mayview. She spent many hours at the Senior Centers in Higginsville, Lexington and Odessa, and helped at the front desk.
Delores is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Henry; brothers, Carl Dean, Robert, Ronald and Donald Baker.
She is survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, May 28th at 10:00 am at the Zion UCC Cemetery in Mayview.
Memorials are suggested to the First United Methodist Church in Odessa.
