Joni Jane Eller, age 64, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at St. Luke’s North Hospital, in Kansas City, Missouri.
Joni was born the daughter of William Clarence and Mary Jane (Baker) Hicks on March 14, 1962 in Chillicothe, Missouri. She was a 1980 graduate of Chillicothe High School. Joni was a Certified Medical Technician at Indian Hills, Chillicothe, Missouri for several years. She enjoyed her family. When her children were younger, she loved taking them to special places that they would enjoy. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Joni is survived by her children, Spencer Eller and Sara Eller of Chillicothe, Missouri; grandchildren, Zaylin, Xylas and Thaylor; and six siblings, Gary (Donna) Hicks of Kirksville, Missouri, Donna Stuver of Marion, Iowa, Becci (Bob) Goodwin of St. Joseph, Missouri, Cindy Ware of Henderson, Tennessee, Ted (Teresa) Hicks of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Jenny Eller of Chillicothe, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Al Hicks, and infant brother, Jeff Hicks; and the father of her children, Bryan Eller.
A visitation will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri on Friday, June 5, 2026 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Sara Eller and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O.
