Doug Snyder passed away unexpectedly on April 28, 2026 at the age of 65. He was born September 20, 1960 to Dad, Don Snyder and Mom, Dolores Snyder and grew up with older sisters and a brother. Doug attended many schools growing up. His favorite place was Carrollton, Missouri. Doug played football, and track while in high school, but his favorite sport was basketball. He graduated from Windsor High School in 1978. Doug spent many years in the golf construction business and later in life he started his own business providing excavating and detailed yard maintenance. Doug’s interests and hobbies: his pets, music, guitars, golf and being a Chief’s fan. Doug found strength and love in his faith believing in Jesus Christ. He also enjoyed attending our Church. Doug’s greatest joy was attending the activities, games, performances, and events involving his grandchildren. He was their biggest fan, cheering loudly, smiling proudly and soaking in every moment. Doug is preceded in death by his dad, Don Snyder and his mom, Dolores Snyder. He is survived by his wife, Lana Snyder; his son, Aaron (Melissa) Snyder, his daughters, Randi (Matt) Reilly, and Dana (Zach) Lavely; his grandchildren, Lukas Lavely, Austyn Reilly, Marlowe Snyder, Thea Lavely, and Bronson Snyder; his siblings, Lizzie (Tim) Rotert, Glenna (John) Fleeman, and his brother, Don (Pam) Snyder; and his Uncle Dennis (Carolyn) Snyder, nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, June 13, 2026. Visitation will be at 3:00 pm and the Celebration will be at 3:30 pm. It will be at Crown Pointe Church, 5950 NE Lakewood Way, Lee’s Summit, Mo. 64064.
