Donna “Lucille” Wicker, 89, of Richmond, passed away Thursday, June 11, 2026, at Shirkey Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Richmond.
Lucille was born on April 15, 1937, in Swanwick, rural Richmond, Missouri, the daughter of James M. Liles and Grace (Brown) Liles. Lucille was the youngest of 12 children.
Lucille was united in marriage to Virgil Ernest Wicker on February 25, 1959. Lucille and Virgil celebrated 60 years of marriage until Virgil passed on May 21, 2019.
Lucille was also preceded in death by her eldest son, Jack Wicker, on November 12, 2023. Also, her mother and father, two brothers, Charles Liles and Harry Liles, Sr., six sisters, Ellen Louise “Sitter” Young, Geraldine Fitch, Mary White, Judith Harris, Vivian Karl, Jo Ann O’Dell, three siblings that died at birth, and Harry E. Liles, Jr. that was a nephew that the siblings considered to be a brother. Also, three other nephews, Jimmy O’Dell, Jimmy Wasmer, and Marvin Karl
Survivors include: son, Steve (Brenda) Wicker of Wood Heights; daughter, Kathie (Garry) Bush of Richmond; daughter-in-law, April Wicker of Excelsior Springs; six grandchildren: Eric (Diana) Barker, Krystal Wicker, Tristan Wicker, Jason Wetzel, Rachael Wicker, and Nathan Wicker; 11 great-grandchildren: Mallyrie, Maddux, Joshua, Addelyn, Braidyn, Bellamy, Abigayle, Ryna, Preston, Jackson, and Charlie; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Lucille worked at Wicker’s Furniture TV and Appliance with her husband Virgil at the family business for 39 years. Lucille was also a homemaker and loved and enjoyed her family. She loved cooking big family meals at gatherings such as holidays and birthdays. She loved going to garage sales with her sisters and daughter. Lucille loved her country music and loved singing to others and was very good at it. She loved her kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids. Lucille was always generous and kind to all and would do anything to help someone in need. Lucille was of the Christian faith.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Shirkey Hospice. They can be left at or mailed to Thurman Funeral Home, 507 East Main Street-P.O. Box 190, Richmond, MO 64085.
Visitation with funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond, with visitation beginning at 10:00 A.M., with services to follow at 11:00 A.M.
