Patricia Ann Downs, 71, of Sedalia, formerly of Richmond, passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at the Four Seasons Living Center in Sedalia.
Patricia was born on October 28, 1954, in Missouri, the daughter of Lee Roy and Sarah (Summers) Rowland. She was united in marriage to James M. Downs of Orrick in 1986; he survives of the home.
Additional survivors include: Nicole “Nikki” Hendricks (Chris Woodsmall) of Carrollton; and five grandchildren: Christopher “Little Britches” Woodsmall, Jr., Ivory Marie, Faith Marie, Heaven Leigh Marie, and Trinity Marie.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Diana Marie Coffman.
Patricia was raised and educated in Richmond, where she spent her life surrounded by the people she loved most. She devoted herself to being a wife, mother, and homemaker, finding her greatest joy in caring for her family. They were the center of her world, and there wasn’t a day that went by without a phone call, a visit, or time spent together. Patricia shared a special bond with her daughter, who was not only her child but also her very best friend. Her grandchildren brought endless happiness to her life, and she treasured every moment she was able to spend with them.
In her quieter moments, Patricia enjoyed working crossword puzzles and word searches, cross-stitching, and listening to her favorite country music. More than anything, she will be remembered for the love she poured into her family, the time she shared with them, and the countless memories they will cherish forever. She was of the Christian faith and enjoyed reading the gospel.
