Cynthia Lynn “Cindy” Fry, 63, of Marshall, MO, died Friday, September 4, 2026, at her home with her husband by her side.

Born January 3, 1963, in Kansas City, MO, she was the daughter of the late “J.C.” Stevens and Dotty Twilling O’Dell who survives of Marshall. Since early childhood she was a resident of Marshall, and she was a graduate of Marshall High School and University of Central Missouri. On July 20, 1985, at United Methodist Church in Marshall, she married Wayne Fry who survives of the home. Cindy began her teaching career in 1985 teaching preschool in Waverly, MO. That same year she also began teaching at Gilliam C-4 School, and she taught there for 13 years. She then went to teach for Slater Public Schools for the next 27 years. Cindy loved her family, her friends, and her job. She was excited to become a Grandma, and she loved spending time with her husband, sons, and grandsons. She especially treasured her close friends who were always there for her.

Cindy loved her family with all her heart. In addition to her mother, Dotty, and husband, Wayne, she leaves behind two children, Mark Fry of Kansas City and Bryan Fry (Rebekah) of Marshall; two grandsons; her siblings: Craig Stevens (Gina) of Lee’s Summit, MO, Rod Stevens (Edith) of Columbia, MO; Mike Stevens of Springfield, MO, and Heather Stevens Regnier (Andy) of New York; and several nieces and nephews.

For the family, friends, and others whose lives Cindy touched, funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 12, 2026, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall with William W. Harlow officiating. Burial will follow at Ridge Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. Saturday until time of the service. The family suggest memorials to Ridge Park Cemetery – Fence Fund.
