Jonah James Frank, age 23, of Carrollton, Missouri, passed away on Friday, October 16th, 2026. Born to parents Dan John and Susan Mary (Hoppe) Frank on May 16th, 2003 in Carrollton, Missouri.

Jonah was a faithful member of Immanuel Lutheran Church of Carrollton, where he was baptized on July 13, 2003. He was brought up to know the bible, and love our Lord Jesus Christ. He later confessed his faith in Christ at his confirmation on April 9, 2017.

Jonah’s childhood in Carrollton was centered on Christ, family, and friendship. Days at the Frank residence were often chaotic, as Jonah created memories with his brothers. Evenings consisted of hearty family meals, and meaningful conversations about what it meant to lead a life of faith. Sunday mornings were always spent in the house of the Lord, where he often invited friends to attend church with him.

His adventurous spirit led him to love the outdoors. He enjoyed hiking, biking, swimming, and skiing. Although he was the baby of the family, he could never be counted out, as he was always more than willing to push the limits of his athleticism. He loved spending summers in Shawano, Wisconsin, at the Frank family farm. The farm was a place of happiness for Jonah, which he often looked back on fondly. As Jonah grew, so did his love for power sports. He quickly transitioned from hours in the back yard playing – to hours in the shop working on ATV’s and dirt bikes. On any given night of the week, Jonah could be found in the shop – covered in grease, and surrounded by friends.

Jonah was an active member of Carrollton High School’s FFA, Golf, and Wrestling programs – where he became MSHSAA 220 Pound State Champion his senior year. Graduating from Carrollton High School in May of 2021, Jonah entered the workforce at Vince Campbell and Son Heavy Equipment and Diesel Repair shop. It was there that he honed his skills of diagnosing and fixing motors and machinery. His hard work and knack for motors later landed him a position as a diesel mechanic at Hinson Trucking, where he had built lasting friendships over the past three years.

Jonah was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Eugene and Joann Frank, his maternal grandfather, William ‘Bill’ Hoppe, and his cousin, Kyle Alexander.

Jonah is survived by his parents; Dan and Susan Frank; his brothers, Logan (Brandi) Frank, Joshua (Shariden) Frank, Gabriel (Hallie) Frank, Noah Frank; Grandmother Mary Hoppe; Nieces and Nephews, Hannah Williams, Alyssa Biggerstaff, Brayden Biggerstaff, Ava Frank, Rosie Frank, Margaret Frank, Betsy Frank, Shepherd Frank, Micah Frank; Aunts and Uncles, Doug (Julie) Hoppe, Laura Hoppe, Tim (Kristin) Hoppe, Leo (Debbie) Frank, Ted (Michelle) Frank, Jo Jean (Eric) Frank; as well as numerous cousins and close friends.

Jonah was cared for deeply by those who knew him. His bright blue eyes electrified every room he walked into. Jonah was known for his quick witted remarks, kind heart, and infectious smile. His presence will be deeply missed by those who loved him.

The family will receive friends from 9:00 to 10:45 AM on Thursday, October 22, 2026 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 402 S Folger St, Carrollton, Missouri. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM.
