Jonathan Dwayne Fagan, aged 41, passed away peacefully on August 27, 2025, with his wife by his side, after a hard-fought battle with cancer. His strength and grace during his illness were a testament to his profound Christian faith and his trust in God’s eternal plan. Jonathan was born on December 4, 1983, in Brookfield, Missouri, to David and Patti (Sprague) Fagan. He was united in marriage to Ashley (Spears) Fagan on October 28, 2013, at Bethany Baptist Church in Marceline, Missouri. Jonathan was a proud member of the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers and served as a Superintendent/BD for Nooter Construction. He was an avid outdoorsman with a deep passion for hunting and archery. Jonathan also enjoyed traveling, golfing, fishing, motocross, and, most of all, spending time with his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Ashley Fagan of Chillicothe, MO; daughters Brooklyn Smith of Linn, MO, Katelyn Downing (Chisum) of Creston, IA, and Kylee Clariday of Stewartsville, MO; son Cooper Clariday of Chillicothe, MO; and granddaughter Ada Downing of Creston, IA. He is also survived by his parents, David and Patti Fagan of Marceline, MO; brothers Lucas (Taylor) Fagan of Bucklin, MO, and Marc (Katherine) Fagan of Rolla, MO; Brother-in-law Clayton (Megan) Spears of Oskaloosa, IA; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. To know Jonathan was to love him. His smile lit up a room. He never met a stranger, always saw the best in others, and gave his all to support and uplift those around him. He lived with a generous heart.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at the Wright Funeral Home in Brookfield, MO. Burial will follow in the Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Chillicothe, MO. Founded in 2004 The Gateway Pundit is an online news publication consisting of news, commentary and analysis. Located in America’s Heartland, TGP focuses on topics Heartland Americans care about. Since its founding, TGP has grown as many Americans turn to digital news sources and as many Americans continue to lose trust in the purportedly unbiased nature of older newspapers and networks, TGP is addressing this gap as a trusted news source for the stories and views that are largely untold or ignored by traditional news outlets.
