Martin “Dale” Hormell, age 67, a resident Breckenridge, Missouri, passed away on Friday, December 19, 2025, at Kindred Hospital Northland, Kansas City, Missouri.
Dale was born the son of Beatrice Pittman on August 4, 1958, in St. Louis, Missouri. He attended Breckenridge High School, Breckenridge, Missouri.
Dale was self-employed farmer in Breckenridge. He loved to put out gardens and tending to them. He also enjoyed mowing yards and just being outdoors. He especially enjoyed spending time with family including his beloved dog, Jack.
He is survived by one son, Nick Hormell of Excelsior Springs, Missouri; one daughter, CJ Hormell (Rob) of Excelsior Springs, Missouri; six grandchildren, Neveah, Evan, Lizzy, Jordan, Keira and Khai; and his significant other, Mary Bright, of the home. He was preceded in death by his mother; and father.
Funeral services will be held at Lindley Pitts Funeral Home, Braymer, Missouri, on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. A scheduled visitation will be held at Lindley Pitts Funeral Home, Braymer, Missouri, on Saturday, December 27, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery, Breckenridge, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to the Breckenridge Community Center and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
