Bonnie Lois Chevalier Plattner Boedeker, 90, of Marshall, MO, died Thursday, April 2, 2026, at The King’s Daughters Home in Mexico, MO, surrounded by her daughters and grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall with William W. Harlow officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., prior to the service, at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to The King’s Daughters Home or Malta Bend Cemetery. Born July 22, 1935, in Miami, MO, she was the daughter of the late Gussie Chevalier and Vessie Lillian Rose Chevalier. Bonnie lived in Saline County most of her life and attended school in Malta Bend. In 1951, she married Harry A. Plattner Jr. who preceded her in death. On November 14, 1975, she married William C. “Bill” Boedeker who preceded her in death on April 15, 2010. Bonnie had an amazing work ethic and it was witnessed by owning and operating a clothing store, restaurants, as well as working as a real estate agent. She was a very gracious person and enjoyed caring for family and friends. Bonnie was a member of First United Methodist Church in Marshall and was an avid bridge player.

Survivors include two daughters, Georgia Lee Clemons (Larry) of Columbia and Hope Ann Newsom (Darrell) of Mexico; six grandchildren: Keenan Ashenfelter (Jessica), Holly Dunn (Michael), Meganne Wiles (Andy), Savannah Kvanvig (Jared), Clayton Clemons (Caitlin) and Karley Newsom; 10 great-grandchildren: Ethan Dunn, Alice Wiles, Weston Kvanvig, August Kvanvig, Anders Kvanvig, Emmeline Kvanvig, Aubrey Clemons, Boone Clemons, Carson Newsom and Porter Newsom; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents and husbands; a daughter, Pamela Jane Woodland; a stepdaughter, Becky Hayslip Hudson; and eight siblings: Uel Chevalier, Herman Chevalier, Russell “Duke” Chevalier, James Chevalier, Buddy Chevalier, Betty Coleman, Dora Narron and Jo-Dale Chevalier.
