Elizabeth “Betty” Susanna Pollard, 91, of Norborne, Missouri passed away Friday evening, May 1, 2026 at her home.
She was born April 1, 1935, in Carroll County, Missouri, daughter of John William and Alice Susanna “Fitzwater” Pollard.
Elizabeth “Betty” attended Roads Country School and graduated from Stet High School in Stet, MO, in 1951. She was a member of The Braymer Christian Church, in Braymer, MO and attended Union Baptist Church in Roads. She was employed by Plastic Products in Independence, MO, before moving back to the family farm. She then worked at Banquet Foods in Carrollton, MO, and helped to raise nieces Susan Riley (Campbell) and Robyn Riley (Kleiboeker), while working on her family farm in Roads, MO. She cared for the livestock, and planted a large garden yearly.She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Ruthie Jane Pollard and Wanda Lee Davis, and brother William Albert Pollard.
Survivors include two sisters, Alice Rosalie Riley, and Bonnie Louise Pollard of Norborne, MO; niece, Robyn and (John) Kleiboeker, Donell, (Ragan), Dallas, Jackson, Jordan, and Dyllan; and niece, Susan and (Nathan) Campbell, Morgan, Kenzie and Jadyn. She also leaves behind many additional beloved nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, May 9, 2026 at the Bittiker Funeral Home, in Carrollton, Missouri.
The family will receive friends from 10:30 to 11:30 Saturday, May 9, 2026 at the funeral home.
Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery in Stet,
Missouri.Pallbearers will be Donell Kleiboeker, Dallas Kleiboeker, Jackson Kleiboeker, Jordan Kleiboeker, Maddox Haynes, and Caleb Tatley.
Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Hall and the entire team of Stet First Responders.
The family suggests contributions to Union Baptist Church, St. Lukes Hospice or New Hope Cemetery
