Chris was born on March 27, 1942, in Plattsmouth, Nebraska to Andrew Marion and Esther Luella (Senf) Christenson. He exemplified dedication to his country by enlisting in the United States Army on October 28, 1965. As a Captain in the Army Nursing Corps, he served honorably until his discharge on December 5, 1971, including a meaningful posting at Camp Zama in Japan. Following his military service, Chris continued to make a difference in healthcare at the Children’s Health Center in San Diego and took on an executive role with Kaiser. He enjoyed photography and won awards for his work. Along with spending time with family and friends, Chris had a knack for tinkering with old cars and antique radios, enjoyed whittling wood, and had a deep appreciation for American Indian culture. One of his most meaningful accomplishments in life was being an ordained minister.
