Shirley Joan Parker, 91, Bosworth, Missouri, passed away June 17, 2026 at North Kansas City Hospital, North Kansas City, Missouri. A visitation will be held 5:00 – 7:00 PM on Monday, June 22, 2026 at La Bella Hall, 5 South Main Street, Carrollton, Missouri 64633. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 23, 2026 at 11:00 AM also at La Bella Hall in Carrollton. A graveside service will follow at Wharton Cemetery in Bosworth, Missouri.
Shirley was born in Shrub Oak, NY on February 23, 1935, the 10th of 13 children to Mabel Florence (Lent) and Harold George Martin Stottlar. She was raised in Shrub Oak where she met her future husband Ralph Parker. Shortly after their wedding they moved to Ralph’s family farm in rural Bosworth, Missouri. Ralph and Shirley raised two children Pam and Penny and were blessed with four grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. In addition to farming and raising a family they also built and ran Parker Pump and Supply. Shirley’s hobbies included gardening, fishing, knitting, reading, researching genealogy and traveling.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Penny and her husband Ralph.
Shirley is survived by her daughter Pam (Paul), grandsons; Ron, Jess (Kristy), David (Mandy) and a granddaughter Kim (Rod), ten great-grandchildren and three great great-grandchildren.
