David Ricky “Rick” Compton, age 79, of Gallatin, Missouri, passed away Tuesday afternoon, July 28, 2026, at Saint Luke’s Hospice House in Kansas City, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Cameron Veterans Home, in care of the funeral home. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Friday, July 31, 2026, at Stith Funeral Home in Gallatin, Missouri. A Celebration of Life with Military Honors will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 21, 2026, at the Lake Viking Clubhouse in Gallatin, Missouri.
